Pozner on Cross: The Chapter Method is one of America’s most attended trial techniques CLE. This unique and entertaining program teaches advanced methods to recognize, write, and deliver powerful cross-examinations.
Great cross-examinations are the product of interlocking techniques that can be learned easily and used immediately by lawyers regardless of experience. Pozner uses principles of neuroscience and behavioral psychology to explain how to draft cross-examination as storytelling. The Chapter Method structure raises our confidence, controls the witnesses, and teaches the jurors our case theory. Using more than 250 PowerPoint slides, Pozner shows the steps to each technique, accompanied by short examples of the resulting cross-examination.
Larry Pozner is America’s authority on cross-examination. Pozner on Cross: The Chapter Method is an outgrowth of Pozner’s books Cross-Examination: Science and Techniques (4th Ed., NACDL, 2026, by Pozner and Dodd) and Pozner’s Red Book: Lessons in Advanced Cross-Examination (2025, NACDL, by Larry Pozner). His books and seminars revolutionized our profession’s view of the purposes and methods of modern cross-examination.
Here is what some seminar attendees from previous years have had to say:
“Larry Pozner is masterful.”
“Exceptionally valuable for every lawyer (even non-litigators) since eliciting information is at the core of what we do! Absolutely fascinating!”
MCLE Credit Note: If you attended this program in 2025 and claimed MCLE credit, you will not be able to attend the upcoming October program and claim MCLE credit again this year.

He has entertained and educated audiences in 49 states and several foreign countries.
