This program focuses on the research sources and tools available to lawyers in Virginia. While the primary emphasis is on researching Virginia law, this seminar also covers general civil, criminal, and business resources that can be used in legal practice. The use of commercial, government, as well as other free resources is also emphasized.
This 3-hour seminar devotes an hour to discuss a lawyer’s ethical duty under Virginia Rules of Professional Conduct Rule 1.1, comment 6, which includes the awareness of the benefits and risks associated with the use of technology.
