Written discovery—in all its forms—can make or break your case. Learn how to do it right!
Trial lawyers get all the glory. Think of all the trial movies you’ve ever seen: did even one focus, even minimally, on a written discovery issue? While not a topic of popular interest, it is a topic that should interest every litigator. Good trial lawyers know that without effective written discovery, the chances to be good at trial almost vanish.
This seminar will help you make your written discovery more effective. Our experienced speakers will emphasize the overriding necessity of a discovery plan—and the need to adjust that plan as circumstances change. In addition to receiving a thorough grounding in the federal and Virginia rules, you’ll learn strategies for employing the various written discovery methods, and responding to opposition requests. If your practice includes civil litigation, you will benefit from the insights offered in this course.
Topics covered include:
And answers to your questions, too!
