This has resulted in verdicts, settlements, court orders, and rule changes that have drastically changed (and will continue to change) the landscape in which real estate brokers and agents must operate. We will also cover the estate and transfer tax implications of the different deeds, as well as their revocability. Lastly, we will explain how to interpret these deeds when encountering them as a part of an abstract—who the record owner is and who has what authority when it comes to signing and transferring the property.
