Hear our experienced speakers, Carolyn A. White and Timothy K. Palmer, discuss:
Special Needs Trusts are one of the most sought and least understood tools for elder law and estate planning. Learn how to leverage these documents to aid your clients in preserving or preparing for public assistance benefits such as Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). The first session will cover both the theory of these types of trusts and provide specific drafting suggestions beyond the forms in the Elder Law Basics Handbook.
This program will also cover the basics of Medicaid long-term care: how Medicaid may pay for long-term care, what are countable and excluded resources, as well as what is a spend down.
