Are you looking for a better understanding of the rights and responsibilities of both the employer and the employee in the workplace? Are you interested in expanding your practice into the area of employment law? Do you need a refresher on litigating an employment discrimination claim?
This course will cover both federal and state laws governing employment discrimination and will assist all practitioners in improving their knowledge when litigating these types of claims.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation/transfer requests will be honored until 5:00 p.m. the day preceding the seminar. You will, however, be charged $40 if you cancel or transfer your registration to a different seminar after the link to the materials has been e-mailed by Virginia CLE®.
Full refunds or transfers are available up to two days after a webcast in the unlikely event that you experience technical difficulties.

MCLE Credit Caveat: The MCLE Board measures credits by the time you spend in attendance. If you enter a seminar late or leave it early, or both, you must reflect those adjustments accurately in the credits you report on your credit reporting form. A code will be given at the end of the seminar, which must be written on your MCLE form.

Lindsey S. Komisin is a Partner at IslerDare PC’s Richmond, Virginia, office. Amy E. Smith is a Partner at IslerDare PC’s Richmond, Virginia, office. Her practice focuses on representing employers in labor and employment matters. She regularly advises clients on traditional labor relations issues and regularly handles collective bargaining negotiations, labor arbitrations, union representation campaigns, and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board. She also provides advice and counsel to clients on all substantive employment law issues—including counseling and disciplining employees, employment policies, wage-hour issues, and employment and non-competition agreements—and represents employers in administrative charges and litigation. Ms. Smith also regularly provides training to clients on traditional labor relations, workplace investigations, and compliance with the Service Contract Act, the FMLA, the ADA, and other employment laws. She is a member of the Virginia, District of Columbia, Georgia, and Florida bars.
