If you are mediator who receives referrals from a court in Virginia, you should be certified pursuant to the Guidelines for the Training and Certification of Court-Referred Mediators.  Once certified, mediators are subject to the oversight of the Dispute Resolution Services (DRS) of the Office of the Executive Secretary.

A mediator must recertify every two years by October 31 to maintain certification. Effective November 1, 2017, the number of Continuing Mediation Education (CME) credit necessary has increased to ten hours. Of that ten hours of training, two hours must be training on approved mediator ethics.

To aid in this endeavor, Virginia CLE® has begun to offer seminars that have been approved for CME credit, in addition to MCLE credit. For an up-to-date listing, please click on the link below.
