The objective of this seminar is to help lawyers understand financial statements, formulate successful inquiries, and communicate effectively with business and financials colleagues. The program is designed to improve skills by providing attorneys with an understanding of financial principles and concepts so they can handle these matters more effectively and efficiently to better serve their clients.

Registration Deadlines:
Webcast: 10 minutes prior to seminar. If you register for a webcast the day of the seminar, your e-mail receipt will include a link to launch the seminar and download the materials.
Telephone: Online registration ends at 11:59 p.m. the day preceding the seminar
Call (800) 979-8253 to register up to one hour prior to the seminar

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation/transfer requests will be honored until 5:00 p.m. the day preceding the seminar. You will, however, be charged $40 if you cancel or transfer your registration to a different seminar after the link to the materials has been e-mailed by Virginia CLE.

Full refunds or transfers are available up to two days after a webcast in the unlikely event that you experience technical difficulties.

MCLE Credit Caveat: The MCLE Board measures credits by the time you spend in attendance. If you enter a seminar late or leave it early, or both, you must reflect those adjustments accurately in the credits you report on your credit reporting form. A code will be given at the end of the seminar, which must be written on your MCLE form.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Joseph Novello, CPA, MBA, The Financial Training Organization / Metuchen, NJ

Joseph Novello, CPA, MBA, began his accounting and management consulting career at Ernst & Young and obtained his Certified Public Accountant license in New York. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College and an MBA in finance from New York University. Mr. Novello maintains his CPA license and has years of experience working in American and International Fortune 500 companies. His positions have included controller, chief financial officer, director of planning and analysis, and director of sales operations. Since founding the Financial Training Organization in 2010, Mr. Novello has presented his finance programs to thousands of lawyers at bar association, and CLE provider presentations across the United States and Canada. His goal is to present lawyers with an easy-to-understand approach that will make dealing with a client’s financial matters more manageable. He brings his real-world experience and candid opinions to his programs and is consistently rated as exceeding expectations.
