Why Attend?
The counterpart to Virginia CLE®’s popular Rocket Docket program, this seminar focusing on the Western District.
- Understand the rules applicable in the Western District
- Learn best practices from experienced litigators familiar with the courts
- Hear what judges want—and don’t want
- Get an extraordinary set of written materials—the electronic version of Virginia CLE®’s Federal Civil Practice in Virginia, a $249 value—included in the regular registration fee! (If you already own the 2023 edition of this handbook and do not want the e-book version, you may register at a discounted rate.)
This seminar is a must-attend event for any attorney practicing in the Western District of Virginia. At this program, you will hear directly from the judges who try your cases and from some of the area’s finest litigators as they discuss all relevant aspects of federal trial practice. Throughout the seminar, panelists will offer insight and practice tips to help you achieve the optimal outcome for your clients. The rules and procedures unique to the Western District will be clearly highlighted—the aspects that insiders know and follow and that outsiders ignore at their peril.
Both experienced and new attorneys will benefit from the opportunity to explore the most successful strategies when trying cases in these courts. Ask any of your colleagues who practice in the Western District: it is too late to learn the court’s rules once your case starts; you must know them now. Don’t miss this opportunity—it will be a morning well spent!
BONUS! Regular registration includes the e-book version of the Virginia CLE® handbook Federal Civil Practice in Virginia. Combining the outstanding written materials used in previous seminars devoted to practice in the Eastern District and Western District into a single useful reference, Federal Civil Practice in Virginia is the go-to book for every attorney appearing in Virginia’s federal courts. Those attending in person in Charlottesville will have the option of choosing to receive the handbook in print or as an e-book.
