A replay of a session originally presented at the 27th Annual Advanced Real Estate Seminar in March 2023, cosponsored with the Real Property Section of the Virginia State Bar, this program offers an opportunity for Q&A with the speakers and qualifies for live-interactive MCLE credit.
The Real Property Section of the VSB undertook a review of all Legal Ethics Opinions to determine what applies specifically to real estate, what is outdated, and what is valid in our current time. That project is still being processed. This program will review a small portion of the results dealing with conflict of interest, duty to disclose, multiple representation, and unrepresented parties. We will cover numerous LEOs including 1564 and 1742 as well as Rule 1.1 (competence), Rules 1.7, 1.8, 1.9 (conflict of interest), Rule 1.15 (safekeeping property), and Rule 4.3 (dealing with unrepresented persons).

MCLE Credit Caveat: The MCLE Board measures credits by the time you spend in attendance. A code will be given at the end of the seminar, which must be written on your MCLE form.
