Cosponsored with the Family Law Section of the Virginia State Bar

Family law is an ever-changing area that represents the majority of the civil cases heard by Virginia Circuit Courts. For more than 40 years, this program, cosponsored with the Family Law Section of the Virginia State Bar, has kept Virginia family law attorneys up to date on new developments in the law. This year, the planning committee is excited to offer in-person presentations around the state, providing the opportunity to network with old friends and meet new colleagues, as well as the option to attend virtually and receive live-interactive credit. The seminar features an outstanding faculty and will include six hours of CLE credit with material ranging from annual legislative and case law updates to specific programs on the most pressing family law matters.

This year’s topics include:

  • Bi-annual case law and legislative updates
  • An ethics session on an attorney’s obligations when drafting pleadings
  • An in-depth discussion on dealing with digital evidence
  • Best practices in preparing for trial
  • An overview of using medical records in litigation

Options for Attending the Seminar:

On Tuesday, October 3, this program will be presented live on site in Richmond/Innsbrook, where people may attend in person, as well as virtually via live-interactive webcast and telephone.

On Tuesday, October 10, this program will be presented live on site in Fairfax only, with no virtual attendance options.

On Tuesday, October 17, this program will be presented live on site in Virginia Beach only, with no virtual attendance options.
