Why Attend?

  • Explore real stories about infamous people in questionable situations and how to avoid ethical violations in your own practice in an entertaining presentation by CLE performer Stuart Teicher
  • Examine ethical issues with money and billing, rules on confidentiality and dealing with entities, and conflicts

Pete Rose can teach lawyers about money … Bernie Madoff can teach about confidentiality … and Bill Cosby can teach about fees. Yes, some of the most infamous celebrities of our time help lawyers understand key parts of the ethics rules. Come join Stuart Teicher, Esq., “the CLE Performer,” as he uses real stories from celebrities to teach critical lessons of attorney ethics:

  • Cash, Coin, Cheddar, Dough: Ethical issues with money and billing (Rules 1.5, 8.4, and 1.15)
  • The infamous people who helped shape the rules on confidentiality and dealing with entities (Rules 1.6 and 1.13)
  • Money and power usually lead to loyalty issues. And that’s all about conflicts (Rules 1.7 and 1.8)
