ChatGPT Artificial Intelligence (AI) is “hotter than hot” in legal circles—and brings with it all sorts of ethical considerations. Our speakers will take a close look at what ChatGPT and other generative AI may mean for the legal profession.

Registration Deadlines:
Webcast: 10 minutes prior to seminar. If you register for a webcast the day of the seminar, your e-mail receipt will include a link to launch the seminar and download the materials.
Telephone: Online registration ends at 11:59 p.m. the day preceding the seminar
Call (800) 979-8253 to register up to one hour prior to the seminar
Live on Site: Online registration ends at 11:59 p.m. the day preceding the seminar
Walk-in registration is permitted on a space-available basis

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation/transfer requests will be honored until 5:00 p.m. the day preceding the seminar. You will, however, be charged $40 if you cancel or transfer your registration to a different seminar after the link to the materials has been e-mailed by Virginia CLE.

Full refunds or transfers are available up to two days after a webcast in the unlikely event that you experience technical difficulties.

MCLE Credit Caveat: The MCLE Board measures credits by the time you spend in attendance. If you enter a seminar late or leave it early, or both, you must reflect those adjustments accurately in the credits you report on your credit reporting form. A code will be given at the end of the seminar, which must be written on your MCLE form.

Sharon D. Nelson, Sensei Enterprises, Inc. / Fairfax

Sharon D. Nelson, Esq., is the President of Sensei Enterprises, Inc., a digital forensics, cybersecurity, and information technology firm in Fairfax, Virginia.

Ms. Nelson is the author of the noted electronic evidence blog Ride the Lightning and is a co-host of the Legal Talk Network podcast series called The Digital Edge: Lawyers and Technology as well as Digital Detectives.

Ms. Nelson is a frequent author (eighteen books published by the ABA and hundreds of articles) and speaker on legal technology, cybersecurity, and electronic evidence topics. She was the President of the Virginia State Bar June 2013–June 2014 and a past President of the Fairfax Law Foundation and the Fairfax Bar Association.

John W. Simek, Sensei Enterprises, Inc. / Fairfax

John Simek is the Vice President of Sensei Enterprises, Inc., an information technology, digital forensics, and cybersecurity firm located in Fairfax, Virginia. He has a national reputation as a digital forensics technologist and has testified as an expert witness throughout the United States. He holds a degree in engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and an MBA in finance from Saint Joseph’s University.

Mr. Simek holds the prestigious CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and the CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) certifications in addition to multiple other technical certifications. He is a past chair of ABA TECHSHOW and a co-host of the Legal Talk Network podcast Digital Detectives. He is a frequent author (eighteen books published by the ABA and hundreds of articles) and speaker on legal technology, cybersecurity, and electronic evidence topics.
