This session explores the role of the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst professional in the divorce process. It includes a case study analysis on the topics of dividing the marital estate, spousal support, and what parties and counsel need to consider in this context. These considerations include making sense of a complex portfolio, how to address assets that can’t be divided, budget analysis and need for support, addressing liquidity needs during and post-divorce, long-term financial implications of a property settlement agreement, and tax issues.
