Information

Why Attend?

You will not want to miss presentations on the following topics:

  • Essential Updates on Virginia Real Estate Case Law and Statutory Law
  • Ethics Hour on Practical Benefits of Civility and the Practice of Law
  • Updated ALTA Title Insurance Policies
  • Virginia’s Real Estate Legislative Updates

Cosponsored with the Real Property Section of the Virginia State Bar

Virginia CLE®’s Annual Real Estate Practice Seminar continues to set the standard for currency and quality in continuing legal education for real estate practitioners.  With a complete update of current statutory and case law, this program also includes the new ALTA requirements with a line-by-line analysis of the ALTA® Closing Protection Letter. The ALTA changes are not so much a total revision as an update to bring policy forms in line with electronic transactions and include coverage or definitions for common matters that impact policyholders.

This program is for you whether you have an established real estate practice or are a general practitioner who occasionally encounters real estate issues. You may attend in person at the Kingsmill Resort for a perfect networking opportunity to connect with other attorneys in the field, or you may attend virtually via live-interactive webcast or telephone and still be able to ask questions of the speakers.

By attending a live-on-site Virginia CLE® seminar, you acknowledge the health risks associated with COVID-19 and that you MUST follow all Virginia CLE® COVID-19 policies. You may NOT attend a live-on-site program if you have tested positive for COVID-19, if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or if you are under any self-quarantine orders per CDC guidelines.

Click here for details about the Virginia CLE® COVID-19 policy. Please revisit the webpage routinely for updates as we are monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation.

All updates to this policy will be emailed to registrants.
