Lauren Ellerman, Frith & Ellerman / Roanoke
Lauren Ellerman’s practice is focused on Medical Malpractice, Non-Compete Litigation, and Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect. As co-author of How to Beat Your Virginia Non-Compete, Ms. Ellerman is dedicated to working on behalf of Virginia employees and business professionals who are starting new ventures in their careers. She has represented clients with cases related to non-compete agreements, non-solicitation agreements, breach of contract, breach of duty of loyalty, and misappropriation of trade secrets.
Ms. Ellerman also represents victims and their families in cases of wrongful death, serious injury, and medical malpractice. She has taught and lectured throughout the state, advising other attorneys on trial skills, discovery, client services, and more. Prior to joining Frith Ellerman & Davis Law Firm, P.C., she worked for Sevila, Saunders, Huddleston & White in Leesburg, Virginia, where she focused on commercial litigation, criminal law, and domestic law.
In 2018 Ms. Ellerman was featured in Virginia Living magazine for her work inside and outside the courtroom. In 2016, she became the chair of the Long Term Care Committee and joined the Board of Virginia Trial Lawyers (VTLA). In 2013 she was named to “Influential Women of Virginia” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. She was also honored as “Young Lawyer of the Year” by the Roanoke Bar Association for her community leadership. In 2015 she received an AV rating from Martindale Hubble. In 2016 she was named a Fellow in the Law by the Virginia Law Foundation and has been the youngest Superlawyer in Medical Malpractice for the Commonwealth of Virginia since 2016.

Brooke Rosen is a Family and Domestic Law attorney. She joined Woods Rogers in March 2021 and practices out of the Roanoke office.
Ms. Rosen’s family law services include divorces, custody, division of marital property, spousal support, including post-divorce modifications, and premarital agreements. She is a strong proponent of the Collaborative Divorce Process and she is a trained Collaborative Divorce Professional.
Ms. Rosen serves as Guardian ad Litem to children involved in high-conflict custody matters and works with divorcing parents to develop arrangements that are in their children’s best interests. Family law is often an emotionally charged issue, but her clients can always count on a steadfast, practical, and smart long-term strategy designed to preserve dignity for the entire family.
Ms. Rosen is a long-time Roanoke resident who began her career as a business and corporate transactional attorney and transitioned her practice to family and domestic law. She understands the complexities of owning and operating a closely held business and the flow of income for high net-worth or self-employed individuals. Working with businesses also provided her with experience in shaping deals and making transactions work seamlessly, all of which translates well into helping her family law clients, regardless of whether a business is involved. While her approach is often focused on helping clients find out of court resolutions, she is an accomplished and aggressive domestic law litigator.
