  • Learn the theories of damages associated with common tort claims
  • Understand the extent and limitations of available damages
  • Gain new insight into how to best present your damage demand

The verdict isn’t everything—you have to allege, prove, and be awarded damages.

Recovery of damages motivates most civil litigation. A good trial lawyer serves his or her clients by knowing what supports (or limits) recovery in any cause of action. You must know the law supporting liability, but that is only the starting point.

Unlike the relatively constrained damages associated with well-written contracts, damages arising from torts are almost entirely open-ended, often limited only by the creativity of the attorney advocating for them. Facts of the case do matter, of course, yet there are tips and best practices that can help maximize the recovery. Our speakers will provide a thorough grounding in these, as they discuss damages associated with:

  • Personal Injury
  • Non-Physical Injuries
  • Wrongful Death
  • Punitive Damages
