Why Attend?
- Learn about new and looming ethics developments from two dynamic and unorthodox lawyer-ethicists
- Earn 3.0 hours of MCLE Ethics credit
The ethical standards for lawyers began rapidly evolving 20 years ago, and the process has only accelerated in recent years. The assumptions and conventions regarding what makes a “good lawyer” mutate without warning, and often, without adequate publicity. “Your 2020 Legal Ethics Survival Kit” will explore as many of the new and looming developments as three fast-moving and intense hours will allow, employing lively interactive hypotheticals and tales of terror about lawyers who didn’t see the new perils until it was too late.
Among the topics to be covered:
- Technology challenges and how to keep up
- Changes in what is “ethical” in firm organization and marketing
- The fee-sharing trap
- Conflicts you don’t see coming
- Legal ethics opinions you missed, but can’t afford to ignore
- Rules nobody reads
And more.
