Why Attend?

Larry Pozner, nationally acclaimed master of cross-examination, will teach you:

  • The Chapter Method of cross-examination
  • How we win our case in cross
  • Breaking cases into stories
  • How Chapters fit with the science of decision making

Larry Pozner’s seminars and writings on the Chapter Method of cross-examination have set the standard for modern cross-examination organization and presentation. Equally applicable to any type of case and any degree of complexity, the Chapter Method is intuitively logical and easily adopted. This seminar will explain how the Chapter Method cross builds on the scientific principles of decision making. Participants will receive materials taken from his book, Cross-Examination: Science and Techniques (3d edition Lexis, 2018, co-authored with Roger Dodd), and slides that make this important CLE easy to follow. ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Larry Pozner, Reilly Pozner LLP / Denver, CO

Larry Pozner is a nationally recognized trial lawyer, lecturer, and author. His book Cross-Examination: Science and Techniques (Lexis, co-authored with Roger Dodd), first published in 1993, is now in its 3rd edition and continues to be America’s bestselling book on cross.

Larry began his career in the Colorado Public defender system and later formed a firm devoted to criminal defense and both plaintiff and defense sides of complex commercial litigation. His national civil defense practice has included law suits involving large and small companies, law firms, and corporate executives. For many years he has defended the Denver Broncos franchise in trials including the law suit challenging Pat Bowlen’s purchase of the team.

Larry is a past-president of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America for Bet-the-Company litigation, and in criminal defense, both White Collar and Non-White Collar crimes.

Larry has lectured in 48 states, throughout Canada, and Brazil. As a teacher at the University of Denver College of Law he was voted Best Professor. (But, Larry wonders, that may have been due to his “nobody flunks” policy.)
