Jury selection is an important part of trial preparation. Trials are often won or lost during jury selection, and having the knowledge and skills to conduct proper voir dire of potential jurors can help you better serve your clients. The attorney who has a thorough understanding of the process and procedures of jury selection will be able to confidently represent both individuals and corporations.

This program will provide both experienced practitioners and new attorneys with an overview of Virginia’s laws governing jury selection and will highlight practical techniques for effective jury selection in both criminal and civil cases. Two of Virginia’s preeminent trial attorneys will discuss how to handle sensitive trial issues and when and what type of motions can be filed during voir dire. This seminar includes concise materials with sample motions that can be resourced long after the seminar.
