This panel will provide insight into the investigations undertaken by Chapter 7 trustees after the first meeting of creditors. The speakers will discuss the powers of the Chapter 7 Trustee to avoid and recover certain transfers for the benefit of the bankruptcy estate, actions against other parties for officer and director liability, recovery of accounts due to the debtor, and when pursuit of those adversary proceedings is warranted.
