And while many attorneys are already using social media in their practices, learning how to use it effectively is important.

This program is designed to help you as an attorney accelerate your social business acumen to enhance professional communications and proficiency with social media. The program will provide you with a needed 21st century capability, an understanding of digital citizenship, and command of your personal digital identity.

This seminar will help improve the efficiency in your law practice by enabling effective communications that assist to solidify connections and build trust with your online community and relationships.

You will receive two hours of training, a participant workbook, and access to an online video course for refresher and retraining.

While having a social media account is not a requirement to take this seminar, already having LinkedIn and Twitter accounts may help you to follow along with the speaker.

Registration Deadlines:
Webcast: 10 minutes prior to seminar. If you register for a webcast the day of the seminar, your e-mail receipt will include a link to launch the seminar and download the materials.
Telephone: Online registration ends at 11:59 p.m. the day preceding the seminar
Call (800) 979-8253 to register up to one hour prior to the seminar
Live on Site: Online registration ends at 11:59 p.m. the day preceding the seminar
Walk-in registration is permitted on a space-available basis

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation/transfer requests will be honored until 5:00 p.m. the day preceding the seminar. You will, however, be charged $40 if you cancel or transfer your registration to a different seminar after the link to the materials has been e-mailed by Virginia CLE.

Full refunds or transfers are available up to two days after a webcast in the unlikely event that you experience technical difficulties.

MCLE Credit Caveat: The MCLE Board measures credits by the time you spend in attendance. If you enter a seminar late or leave it early, or both, you must reflect those adjustments accurately in the credits you report on your credit reporting form. A code will be given at the end of the seminar, which must be written on your MCLE form.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER


Mark Hewitt
, President, SociallySavvy / Hampton Falls, NH

Mark Hewitt has a passion for social business, organizational transformation, and all things digital. Witnessing the impact social media can have on individual brands and their potential for advocacy and influence in digital communications, he felt compelled to found Socially Savvy.

Mr. Hewitt has trained legal, government, military, corporate, academic, and membership organizations in the effective use of social media to impact online outcomes and goals. He has recently worked with state bar associations including the Ohio State Bar to train to a common basics standard in social business to improve legal career readiness.

Mr. Hewitt's professional experience includes client care, delivery, and management capacities at companies including EQengineered, Forrester Research, Cantina Consulting, Collaborative Consulting, and Isobar.  He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and served in the U.S. Army as a Cavalry Officer.
