The 2017 Report on Lawyer Well-Being states that mentorship and sponsorship can aid well-being and career progression for women and diverse professionals, as well as reduce lawyer isolation. Those who have participated in legal mentoring report a stronger sense of personal connection with others in the legal community, restored enthusiasm for the legal profession, and more resilience—all which benefit mentors and mentees. The Senior Lawyers Conference of the Virginia State Bar in conjunction with the Young Lawyers Conference of the Virginia State Bar are in the process of creating a mentorship program. This panel of “senior” lawyers and “young” lawyers will answer the following questions:
