Why Attend?
The counterpart to Virginia CLE®’s popular Rocket Docket program, here focusing on the Western District
- Understand the rules applicable in the Western District
- Learn best practices from experienced litigators
- Hear what the judges want—and don’t want
- An extraordinary set of written materials—Virginia CLE’s Federal Civil Practice in Virginia (2019 edition)—a $179 value!
This seminar is a must-attend event for any attorney practicing in the Western District of Virginia. At this interactive program, you will hear directly from the judges who try your cases, and from some of the area’s finest litigators, as they discuss all relevant aspects of federal trial practice. Throughout the seminar, panelists will offer insight and practice tips to help you achieve the optimal outcome for your clients. Highlighted clearly will be those rules and procedures unique to the Western District—those aspects that insiders know and follow, and that outsiders ignore at their grave peril.
Experienced attorneys, as well as new attorneys, will benefit from the opportunity to learn first-hand the strategies that are most successful when trying cases in this court. Ask any of your colleagues who have practiced in the Western District: it is too late to learn the court’s rules once a case starts; you have to know them now. Don’t miss this opportunity—it will be a morning well spent!
