The seminar will focus on the essentials of special education law as penned in the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act ("IDEA"), the federal and Virginia implementing regulations, and interpretive case law. It is designed to provide an overview for those who may have a passing familiarity with civil and disability rights law, but who seek a more thorough understanding of those rights in the public education setting.
