  • Vaccine injury compensation

Vaccination is ubiquitous in our society. Many of our most important areas of law—education, labor, privacy, tort—have special exceptions carved out for the purpose of promoting or even mandating vaccination of the population.

Legal issues arise from many of these policies. Parents may wish to know their options with respect to the vaccination of their children, particularly where they have concerns regarding possible adverse reactions to vaccination. Who prevails where the parents have differing views on the subject? Private sector employees, particularly in the healthcare industry, may also face vaccination mandates from their employers, and may wish to know what their rights are with respect to such rules. Lastly, although actual vaccine-related injuries are rare, attorneys should be aware of the specialized tribunal that has been established to adjudicate such claims.

This course is designed to highlight the surprising array of legal issues that can arise within the context of vaccination, from responses to vaccination mandates to recovery for vaccine-related injuries.
