Rebecca Hryvniak, Scott| Kroner, PLC / Charlottesville
Ms. Hryvniak joined Scott Kroner, PLC in 2011. She began her law practice at a mid-sized law firm in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with a focus on estate planning and creditors’ rights. Ms. Hryvniak has continued to grow in both of these practice areas and represents clients in the areas of estate planning and administration, guardianship, creditor's rights and collections, and general civil litigation. Ms. Hryvniak appears regularly in courts throughout the Central Virginia area representing individual and business clients.
Ms. Hryvniak is a court-certified guardian ad litem for incapacitated adults and frequently represents parties in guardianship litigation as well as serving as guardian and conservator for incapacitated adults.
Neal L. Walters, Scott| Kroner, PLC / Charlottesville
Neal L. Walters maintains a general civil practice, handling litigation in state and federal courts throughout the Commonwealth. He also represents clients in non-litigation transactional matters including real estate, business transactions, and estate planning. Mr. Walters has a particular interest in appellate matters, having served in the Office of Staff Counsel at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and having represented litigants in over 100 cases in the Fourth Circuit while in private practice. In addition, Mr. Walters was a lecturer at the University of Virginia School of Law for more than fifteen years and was the Supervising Attorney in charge of the Appellate Litigation Clinic there.
Mr. Walters has a family member with a disability and consults with clients regarding special needs trusts and other disability-related matters, and has represented plaintiffs in litigation seeking to expand access to services for persons with disabilities. He is a court-certified guardian ad litem for incapacitated adults and frequently represents parties in guardianship litigation as well as serving as guardian and conservator for incapacitated adults.
