  • Practical steps you can take to secure data traveling within the U.S. and abroad
  • What policies law firms are beginning to adopt for their mobile lawyers

  • The choices in encryption products
  • Their ethical requirements

The “rules” regarding best practices for data protection have changed significantly in the last year. This two-part presentation will bring you up to date!

The first session focuses on the inherent dangers of unsecured wireless networks when you travel, especially internationally, and the steps you can take to protect your data when you leave the relative safety of your computer network.

Our second session covers encryption, which is becoming an increasingly important part of security, and the quest to protect information relating to clients. All attorneys should understand this electronic process to protect data, have it available for use when appropriate, and make informed decisions about when it is acceptable to avoid it. Our speakers will review the ethical requirements for this protection and share practical steps for implementing them on all of your devices.
