The most popular chapter from the 2015 edition of the Virginia CLE® handbook Debt Collection for Virginia Lawyers — A Systematic Approach is now available as an interactive live, webcast, and telephone seminar. During this two-hour presentation, Ret. Judge Robert Pustilnik and attorney Robert Quadros will walk participants through the various means for enforcing judgments and the various collection tools at the lawyer’s disposal. The presenters will offer real-world advice, highlight potential traps and often-made mistakes, and provide tips for the most effective and efficient executions on judgments. Chapter 8, “Executions on Judgments,” serves as the course written materials and includes a large appendix of sample forms and documents.

Hon. Robert A. Pustilnik, Ret.,  Richmond General District Court / Richmond
Judge Robert Pustilnik was a partner in a very active collection practice from 1969 until April 2002.  He has been a regular speaker for Virginia CLE®, the Richmond Bar Association, and other professional groups.  He was a founding member of the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys and one of the original members of the Virginia Creditors Bar Association.  While in private practice, Judge Pustilnik served as pro bono counsel for Richmond Legal Aid. 

Judge Pustilnik retired — aged out — from the bench in January of 2012, but still sits regularly as a substitute judge, edits several publications for CLE and for the Supreme Court of Virginia, conducts programs at the annual General District Court educational conference, and teaches civil law to the new judges.

Robert P. Quadros, Quadros & Associates, P.C. / Newport News
Robert Quadros received his B.A. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1971 and his J.D. from Marshall Wythe School of Law of the College of William and Mary in 1974.  He is the president of Quadros and Associates, P.C., a general collection and plaintiff’s litigation firm.  His practice emphasizes creditors’ rights in all state and federal courts.

Early in his career, Mr. Quadros was an associate attorney in the Real Estate Division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  He was involved in the condemnation and acquisition of various real estate and environmental concerns in the Peninsula, Virginia, area.

Mr. Quadros has been a member of the Virginia State Bar since 1974.  He is also a member of The Virginia Bar Association, Commercial League of America, and Virginia Creditors Bar Association.  Mr. Quadros is a lecturer for the Committee on Continuing Legal Education for the Virginia State Bar on Collection and Creditors’ Rights.  He was a former Captain of the U.S. Army Reserves, Transportation Corps.
