The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s combined disclosure regulations for most RESPA-related residential real estate transactions become effective August 1, 2015. Consumers will have new Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure forms to more easily understand the cost and terms of a residential mortgage loan. The Closing Disclosure replaces the HUD-1 and must be delivered at least 3 days prior to closing. Listen to a discussion of what is changing and how will it work.
