Mark Cathey is a litigator who represents individuals, corporations, insurance companies, and their insureds in cases involving general liability, products liability, personal injury, insurance coverage, and other matters. He has served as lead counsel in more than one hundred jury trials, and he has handled numerous appeals to the Supreme Court of Virginia. He is a past president of the Roanoke Bar Association (2008-09), past chair of the Roanoke Bar Foundation (2009-10) and currently a member of the Virginia State Bar Counsel, the governing body of the Virginia State Bar (2011-2013). Mr. Cathey is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, and The Virginia Bar Association. Eric Finley is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was a member of the National Champion Mock Trial Team in 1990. After receiving his law degree from the College of William & Mary, he began his career as an advocate for the rights of injured individuals. He has almost twenty years of personal injury litigation experience, including 13 years with the Krasnow law firm in Roanoke, and 5 years running his own practice, the Finley Law Firm. Mr. Finley now serves as the lead attorney of the Roanoke office of Rutter Mills LLP, focusing on all areas of personal injury litigation. Over the years he has also been active in the community serving as a youth basketball coach and a tutor for the House for Troubled Youth in Roanoke.
