Attorney as Lobbyist When Partner Is a Member of

the Virginia General Assembly.

It is improper for a lawyer to lobby when his partner is a member of the

legislature, regardless of disclosure and abstention by the legislator and

disclosure by the lobbyist. [See II: DR:8-101(A)(1), DR:9-101(C).]
