LEO: Former Partner as Opposing Party -  LE Op. 320

Former Partner as Opposing Party - Conflict of Interest.

March 17, 1978

It is not improper for an attorney to represent a creditor against an

endorser of a corporation's promissory note where the corporation is

represented by the attorney's former law partner and had been represented

by that partner when the partnership relationship existed, so long as the

attorney had no knowledge of the corporation's affairs whatsoever. [See II:

 DR:5-105(D).]
