Disclosure of Confidential Information - Permissive

Withdrawal by Attorney.

A client liable for a debt and avoiding service of process, when his

whereabouts are known to the attorney, should be advised to either pay the

debt or accept service of process if a valid defense exists. If the client

refuses to heed the advice, the attorney should withdraw as counsel. [See

II: DR:2-108(B)(2) and DR:7-101(B)(2).]
