Virginia CLE

In-House Video Seminar Agreement

Tapes and written materials (course outlines, tape schedules, registration lists, MCLE Form 2-V's, and any handouts or computer disks) cannot be shipped prior to receipt of a completed request and payment for the minimum number of attendees.

Checks (made payable to Virginia CLE), cash, money orders, Visa and MasterCard are accepted methods of payment.

Regular shipment is within five working days of receipt of payment. Materials will be shipped UPS. Please note: UPS delivery is usually one day in Virginia, but for areas beyond Virginia and the D.C. area, delivery may take up to six business days from the date of shipment.

If you would like to have shipment in less than five days from the date payment is received, there is a rush fee of $50. This fee ensures that you will receive the videos and written materials within 48 hours. (Continental U.S. only.)

In-state seminars will not be approved for fewer than four attendees.

If you are taking a program for disciplinary reasons, you must follow MCLE guidelines regarding the number of attendees.

For out-of-state or disabled attorneys, there must be two or more attorneys watching the program as per Virginia State Bar MCLE Board rules The second attorney need not be a member of the Virginia State Bar, nor pay to attend unless claiming CLE credit for the program (with any state bar). However, the second attorney must sign the registration list and MCLE Form 2-V to verify attendance.

Registration lists and any additional payments for attorneys who have not prepaid must be returned with the videotapes and any unused program materials using the label provided. Materials may be returned by UPS, Federal Express, or U.S. Mail, and the shipping charge is the borrower’s responsibility.

Completed MCLE Form 2-V's must be returned to the Virginia State Bar MCLE Office, 707 East Main Street, Suite 1500, Richmond, Virginia 23219-2803.

A businesslike educational atmosphere is required by MCLE rules, with the viewing area away from frequent interruptions.

These programs are provided to Virginia lawyers as a service at minimum cost, not as a fund-raising activity for local groups. No charge may be levied for attendance at these programs beyond the Virginia CLE registration fee.

Tapes must be returned to Virginia CLE within three weeks of receipt. If further time is needed, please call the number below and speak with one of the In-House Seminar Coordinators. PLEASE REWIND the tapes.

Questions? Please call (434) 296-5056 and speak with Sandra Hughes (Ext. 137).

I have read and accept the terms of the Virginia CLE Video In-House Program Agreement.
