These professionally indexed handbooks are supplemented periodically to keep them up to date. The books are written by Virginia lawyers with substantial experience in their areas of practice. Many of them include forms on disk. To make it easier for owners to keep their Virginia CLE books current, Virginia CLE offers a subscription service for supplements.

The written materials from almost all of Virginia CLE's seminars are available for purchase. At the time these materials are produced, they often provide the latest available information on a given topic. Unlike handbooks, they are not supplemented after the seminars are over.
