General Information

General Information Virginia CLE publishes handbooks, which are designed to give Virginia lawyers practical references in most major areas of practice. These professionally indexed handbooks are supplemented periodically to keep them up to date. The books are written by Virginia lawyers with substantial experience in their areas of practice. Many of them include forms on disk. To make it easier for owners to keep their Virginia CLE books current, Virginia CLE offers a subscription service for supplements.

The written materials from almost all of Virginia CLE's seminars are available for purchase. At the time these materials are produced, they often provide the latest available information on a given topic. Unlike handbooks, they are not supplemented after the seminars are over.

Electronic Books

Most handbooks and seminar materials are available in electronic (PDF) format. Usually entire books and some chapters and combinations of chapters are available for immediate download. They are also available on CD-ROM. Please see the information on electronic books before selecting the CD-ROM or download option.

Refund Policy

Full return privileges apply on the print versions of all books and supplements. If you are not satisfied with a book or supplement for any reason, simply return it in undamaged, unmarked condition within 30 days of the date of shipment. Electronic publications are not returnable.

Ordering

You can place publication orders online, by phone, (800) 979-VCLE (979-8253), or by using an order form that can be downloaded and printed. Complete it and mail it or fax it to Virginia CLE Publications. If you are a tax exempt customer, please contact us by phone only at (800) 979-VCLE (979-8253) to obtain information on documentation and process requirements needed to purchase tax free.

Shipping/Handling

Virginia CLE normally ships publications within 5 days of receipt of the order. They are often shipped within 2 days of receipt. The charge for shipping/handling is $9.00.

Returns

Purchasers who are not satisfied with print publications may return them within 30 days in unmarked, undamaged condition, and the purchase price will be refunded.

Discounts

Virginia CLE Publications offers a 10% discount on print publication orders of $400 up to $800, and a 20% discount on print publication orders of $800 and above. These discounts do not apply to templates, electronic books, or other electronic products or software. Purchasers must order by mail, fax, or telephone to take advantage of these discounts.

New Editions and Supplements

If a new edition or supplement is published within 3 months of the date of purchase of a handbook, that new edition or supplement is sent to the purchaser without charge.

Automatic Supplementation Service

Because supplementation is so important to the continuing usefulness of law books, Virginia CLE Publications offers an automatic supplementation service. Supplements and new editions are sent automatically unless the purchaser requests that they not be sent. Automatic supplementation subscribers save money, because Virginia CLE absorbs shipping and handling fees when supplements and new editions are sent automatically. The automatic supplementation service may be canceled at any time.
