Elizabeth Mason Horsley, Williams Mullen / Richmond
Elizabeth Horsley is the co-chair of the fiduciary litigation team and concentrates her practice on trust and estates and financial services litigation. Ms. Horsley is admitted to practice in all Virginia courts, the U.S. District Courts for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
She is a member of the Virginia State Bar, American Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association, Richmond Bar Association and the Metropolitan Richmond Women’s Bar Association. She also volunteers her time with Central Virginia Legal Aid. Ms. Horsley is the 2005 recipient of the Sandra P. Thompson Award, presented by the Virginia Bar Association Young Lawyers Division in recognition of outstanding work and long-term service.
Active in community as well as legal organizations, Ms. Horsley is a member of the Board of Directors for the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA), president of the board of Commonwealth Parenting, vice president of the board of Theatre IV, and a board member of James River Writers, where she serves on the strategic planning committee. She also volunteers at St. Christopher’s School.
Ms. Horsley has been recognized by Virginia Business magazine as one of the “Legal Elite” and by Virginia Super Lawyers magazine. She is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America and has an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available. She has been a speaker on fiduciary topics for the Virginia State Bar continuing legal education program, for the Trust & Estate Division of the Virginia Bar Association, and the Trusts Administrators Council of Richmond.
