Description

This course is a video replay of the entire live Webcast seminar held in July 2008.

Program Level:
Basic

DESCRIPTION

You will hear how to maneuver through online defamation problems, what measures your clients should be taking today, how to identify the potential impact of a defamatory posting and determine who is involved, what facts you will need to consider and how to apply those facts to the evolving legal analyses being adopted by the courts, when to consider legal action, and what jurisdictions to avoid when filing a lawsuit or issuing a subpoena. You will also hear about the direct attacks being aimed at law firms, how to manage the risk and react when an attack occurs, and the ethics issues involved when you are fighting for your client and defending your law firm at the same time. This program is not only for trial lawyers, but for business attorneys helping clients protect brands and business, and law firm managing partners responsible for protecting law firms' reputations.
